In order to create an invoice:
- EU customers: Go to https://app.prolific.ac/account/general and add your VAT identification number (you only need to add the VAT number if you're a company/institution in the EU). If you want to add your address to the invoice, you can do so here. Then fill in the details of the study you're running and from the action menu select "download invoice".
- Non-EU customers: fill in the details of the study you're running and from the action menu select "download invoice". If you want to add your address to the invoice, you can do so by go to "Account".
Topups via credit cards will be sent an automated receipt.
You can also find receipts for completed studies in your 'Completed Studies' section https://app.prolific.ac/studies/completed. From the Action drop-down menu, click on 'Download Receipt' for each study you need.
There are two types of receipts that you can download. The 'Basic' receipt will show you the bulk amount paid to participants, along with the commission (+ VAT if applicable) we have taken. The 'Detailed' receipt additionally breaks down these costs to individual participant IDs, showing the amounts paid to each participant.
Note that you can change the address that appears on these receipts by going to your 'Account Settings' > 'Profile', and entering the address you want to include.
